The Nevada Department of Wildlife is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide robust Integrated Population Models (IPMs) for Nevada’s mule deer and pronghorn services. The project’s goal is to build integrated population models that fuse aerial counts, radio-telemetry survival, habitat indices, and harvest data to estimate population size, survival, recruitment, and their drivers. The scope of work includes developing IPMs, building models that can be updated with new data, and providing a web interface and training for NDOW biologists.
• The project requires the development of integrated population models for mule deer and pronghorn using Nevada Department of Wildlife’s ungulate harvest records, radio-telemetry, and aerial survey data.
• The final product will result in a web interface module for NDOW biologists to access at any time on multiple devices.
• The research group will travel to Nevada to provide a 1–2-day training workshop to include overviews of the models and hands-on learning experience for how to use them.
• The project has a tentative timeline, with a deadline for submissions on 11/26/2025 and an estimated contract start date of 02/09/2026.
