Mortuary Services

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Base Support Branch (AFLCMC/PZIBB) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio intends to award a sole source contract for mortuary services. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for a period of performance of five (5) years. The contractor shall provide mortuary services as directed in the performance work statement (PWS) to align with the Department of Defense (DoD) mortuary specifications. The services include embalming, restoration, care, and disposition of remains of authorized personnel. The contractor shall provide licensed facilities, equipment, licensed funeral service practitioners, motor vehicles, professional services, supplies, death certificates, caskets, outer shipping containers, and transportation. The contractor shall also perform hygienic practices as specified in this PWS. The key requirements of this contract include: • Providing mortuary services for the embalming, restoration, care, and disposition of remains of authorized personnel • Providing licensed facilities, equipment, and licensed funeral service practitioners • Providing motor vehicles, professional services, supplies, death certificates, caskets, outer shipping containers, and transportation • Performing hygienic practices as specified in the PWS • Complying with all existing federal, state, territory, and local licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and practices applicable to the funeral service industry • Being located within 10 miles of WPAFB, Ohio
