Description
The County of Los Angeles Treasurer and Tax Collector is seeking qualified mortuary establishments to provide mortuary services for decedents whose estates are being administered by the Public Administrator. The selected establishments will be added to a Master List, which will be used to provide services on an as-needed basis. The services include funeral and arrangements for the disposition of a decedent in accordance with the decedent's wishes and applicable laws and regulations. The establishments must meet minimum qualifications, including having at least three years of experience providing similar services, having a business office located within the County or a contiguous county, and employing at least one full-time funeral director licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
• The Master List will be effective for five years with options for renewal and extension.
• The selected establishments will be required to provide services on an as-needed basis.
• The services must be provided in accordance with the decedent's wishes and applicable laws and regulations.
• The establishments must meet minimum qualifications, including experience, business location, and licensing requirements.
• The establishments must provide evidence of financial stability and employ at least one full-time funeral director licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
