Description
The Jackson County Board of Education is seeking bids for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment to upgrade the football field lighting at Smoky Mountain High School in Jackson County, NC. The scope of work includes furnishing and installing LED sports lighting fixtures, removing and disposing of existing sports lighting fixtures, and providing new galvanized steel mounting crossarms and wiring. The contractor must be properly licensed by the State of North Carolina to perform this work.
• The project requires the installation of new LED sports lighting fixtures to meet North Carolina High School Lighting Regulations and IES-RP6 Sports Lighting standards.
• The contractor must provide a reference list of eight LED sports lighting projects completed in the state of North Carolina over the last year.
• The project must be completed by July 17, 2026.
• The contractor is responsible for all jobsite safety requirements and must comply with the National Electric Code, Article 250 for bonding and grounding.
• The contractor must provide a performance bond and payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations, including those related to minority business participation and equal opportunity employment.
