RFQP 26-002 Morrell Street Engineering

The City of Jackson is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide engineering services for the Morrell Street project, which includes full depth pavement reconstruction, water main replacement, and traffic signal modernizations. The project will be funded by a combination of federal STP grant money, City Water Funds, City Major Street Funds, and Special Assessments. The selected consultant will be responsible for performing tasks such as preliminary survey, preliminary engineering, and construction engineering. The consultant will also be required to attend progress meetings, prepare bid packages, and obtain necessary permits. The key aspects of the project include: • Full depth pavement removals and replacement with new HMA over aggregate base • Sidewalk and ramp upgrades to meet current standards • Replacement of the antiquated 1929 cast iron water main with new water main pipe • Replacement of traffic signals with mast arm mounted heads • Signing upgrades to meet current standards • Infill tree plantings The City of Jackson reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularity in proposals received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interests.
