Eliminating Hepatitis C by Improving Access to Hepatitis C Care and Treatment

The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute intends to extend eleven (11) contracts for one (1) month to prevent a gap in services while the next competitive procurement is completed. These programs provide hepatitis C outreach, testing, care coordination, peer delivered services, treatment and cure. These services are essential to supporting New York State’s goal of eliminating hepatitis C by 2030. A gap in services before the new funding cycle begins would result in patients being lost to care and overall reduced access to hepatitis C treatment. Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
