Purchase of Truck Mounted Telescopic Aerial Device

Tarrant County is requesting bids for the purchase of a truck mounted telescopic aerial device equipment to lift workers safely into the air to perform overhead work. The equipment must meet specific cab and chassis specifications, engine specifications, transmission specifications, axle specifications, body specifications, and aerial device specifications. The awarded vendor must provide warranty terms and conditions that meet or exceed the warranty terms and conditions of the manufacturer. The vendor must also provide a field demonstration of the equipment upon request by Tarrant County. Some key features of the required equipment include: • Class 5, Ford XL Model F550 4X4 or approved equal • GVWR: 19,500 lbs. minimum • Regular Cab • 4-wheel power disc brakes with Anti-lock brake System (ABS), Hydro-Boost • 40 Gallon fuel tank • 19.5” Steel wheels • 225/70R19.5 Load Range G tires • Back-up alarm • Power door locks and windows • Tilt/Telescoping steering wheel • 7” color display back-up camera • Amber/Blue beacon lights front and rear • Auto headlamps • Factory upfitter switches in cab to allow for additional work lights • Hydraulic outriggers: one set located behind cab of truck • Four LED work go-lights, one located on each corner • Minimum 41 foot boom height • 400lb bucket capacity • Upper and lower hydraulic controls to accommodate hydraulic pole saw • Safety harness and lanyard • Fiberglass bucket material • Insulated boom
