ITB No. 25-14 Johns Pass Dredging

The City of Madeira Beach is seeking a qualified dredging contractor to mitigate sedimentation on the north side of Johns Pass. The project involves dredging an area of approximately 1.61 acres to restore access to adjacent marinas and remove excess sediment. The proposed dredge footprint is located under and adjacent to Johns Pass Bridge, with a 15-foot buffer between the dredge template and the bridge pilings and footings. The project requires the removal of approximately 12,897 cubic yards of material. Key aspects of the project include: • Dredging to a depth of -10 to -12.7 feet NAVD with a 2-foot over dredge allowance • Side slopes cut at 1 vertical foot to 5 horizontal feet • Dewatering of dredged material in the city-owned parking lot north of Johns Pass • Transportation of dredged material to a disposal site • Compliance with the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) authorization and specifications
