The City of Palm Springs is seeking a qualified insurance brokerage firm to manage and administer its municipal insurance programs, including policy placement, renewal marketing, claims assistance, risk analysis, and ongoing advisory services for a portfolio that covers excess liability, workers’ compensation, property, cyber, media, airport liability, and other specialty lines. The broker must have at least ten years of experience serving municipalities with police and/or fire departments, hold a current California insurance broker license, and be able to meet rapid turnaround times for policy changes and renewal notifications. The contract is a three‑year fixed‑fee agreement with two optional one‑year extensions, and the broker will be paid on a “not‑to‑exceed” basis with monthly invoicing. • Manage the City’s existing insurance programs and place all required coverages. • Provide annual program reports, risk‑management recommendations, and act as the liaison with underwriters. • Assist with claims handling, policy amendments, and marketing of renewal options at least 120 days before policy expirations.
