Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Forest Service is seeking a contractor to provide commercial elevator and lift maintenance services for the Tongass National Forest (TNF) in Southeast Alaska. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements, Non-Personal Services contract. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform elevator and lift maintenance. The services include preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, minor repairs, remote monitoring, and load testing to ensure all units remain safe and operational. The work will be performed at multiple TNF facilities located throughout Southeast Alaska, including Juneau, Craig, Thorne Bay, Sitka, Wrangell, and Petersburg.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing commercial elevator and lift maintenance services
• Ensuring elevators and lifts are fully functional, compliant with American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
• Performing preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, minor repairs, remote monitoring, and load testing
• Maintaining elevators and lifts at multiple TNF facilities in Southeast Alaska
• Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal standards, laws, and regulations
