Request for Qualifications Construction Manager at Risk Services for Akron Public Schools - North High School Replacement Project

The Akron Public Schools is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the North High School Replacement Project. The project involves demolishing the existing athletic field, constructing a new school building, renovating the 1970's portion of the existing North High School, and building a new athletic field. The CMR will be responsible for providing pre-construction and construction phase services, including cost estimating, constructability reviews, budget reviews, scheduling input, pre-construction planning, and value engineering. The CMR will also be required to provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal for the project. • The project budget is $85 million. • The project will serve approximately 1,100 students in grades 9-12 and 150 faculty and staff. • The project includes a gymnasium, auditorium, and instructional space for four career pathways. • The project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2029, with the renovation of the 1970's portion of the existing North High School to be completed by the start of school in the fall of 2030.
