Description
The State of Colorado is seeking bids for the CBI GJ HVAC/Lighting Upgrade Project. The project involves replacing existing HVAC equipment and lighting fixtures with new ones. The contractor will be responsible for material procurement and labor. The project includes replacing existing HVAC disconnects and feeders with new ones, load monitoring existing panels, and verifying that the maximum demand does not exceed the ampacity of the feeder or rating of the service. The contractor will also be responsible for replacing existing lighting fixtures with new LED fixtures, including exterior wall-mounted fixtures and emergency exit lights.
• The project requires the replacement of existing HVAC equipment, including MAU, EF, and AHU units.
• The contractor must verify that the maximum demand at 125% plus the new load does not exceed the ampacity of the feeder or rating of the service.
• The project includes the replacement of existing lighting fixtures, including interior and exterior fixtures.
• The contractor must ensure that the means of egress illumination under normal and emergency power complies with all requirements of the 2024 IBC section 1008 and all other applicable codes.
• The project requires the replacement of existing exit lights with new type EMX fixtures.
