County of Northampton Area Agency on Aging - Adult Day Services

The Northampton County Area Agency on Aging is seeking proposals for Adult Day Services to benefit older adult residents of Northampton County. The services should provide an interactive, safe, supervised environment for older adults with functional impairment and adults with dementia-related disease, Parkinson’s disease, or other organic brain syndrome. The services should also provide a community-based alternative to institutionalization and a reliable source of support and respite to caregivers. The selected provider will be responsible for providing personal care, nursing services, social services, therapeutic activities, nutrition, and therapeutic diets, as well as emergency care. • The provider must have experience in providing Adult Day Services and must demonstrate capability to provide the services in the quantity and quality described in the RFP. • The provider must have a visible role in the community and strong working relationships with other service providers. • The provider must have clearly defined lines of responsibility and accountability. • The provider must have a staffing plan that equals or exceeds the qualifications described in the RFP. • The provider must have established fiscal management controls and procedures sufficient to ensure strict accountability in the administration of funds. • The provider must keep sufficient records to allow for an adequate picture of the agency's program and operation, both for quality of service and fiscal propriety.
