Description
The Orleans Parish School Board is seeking providers of E-Rate Category 1 Services to assist the school district in serving its technology needs. The selected provider will be responsible for all aspects of technology acquisition, installation, and integration, including network access services, internet service, firewall and filter bundle, and more. The provider must have experience in providing these services and must be able to meet the requirements outlined in the RFP. Some key requirements include:
* Committed rate (bandwidth) can change upon request
* Accommodate VOIP traffic and cloud computing
* 100% availability/up-time
* Offers burstable speeds
* Includes DDoS as a standard component of internet service
* /22 IP Address Block
* Internet Speed Options: 5GB or 10GB at the Central Office
* MAN/WAN connection options: 5GB or 10GB
* Firewall Service: Vendor equipment provided, protection against viruses and attacks, client to site and site to site VPN service
* Filtering Service: Must be CIPA compliant, web interface for customer to make changes
* Requirements: Evening and weekend work may be required, all costs related to the installation of the equipment will be the responsibility of the vendor, the service must allow OPSB staff management access as well as monthly reporting tools, vendor must have the ability to provide 24/7 support, and more.
The contract term will be for a period of one year with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The evaluation criteria will include factors such as prior experience, value-added services, qualifications of staff, cost effectiveness, and more.
