Description

The US Army is seeking a small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) drone that meets specific requirements. The drone must be listed on the DCMA Blue UAS cleared list and have certain characteristics such as 60+ minutes of cruise flight time, a minimum control and video link distance of 12 miles, and a maximum airspeed of 65 miles per hour. The drone must also have a fixed-wing hybrid design with vertical take-off and landing capability, a compact footprint, and a field-swappable battery pack. The payload must be mechanically gimbaled and have electro-optical and infrared capabilities. The system must also have native integration with the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) and operate on specific frequency bands. Some key points to consider: • The drone must meet or exceed all the required salient characteristics. • The offeror must provide sufficient descriptive literature to evidence that the proposed product meets the requirements. • The Government will evaluate the proposed aircraft solely on the information provided.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be substantial, given the specific requirements and the fact that it's a government contract. However, without more information on the exact budget structure, it's difficult to provide a precise estimate. The contract value could range from a few hundred thousand dollars to several million dollars, depending on the scope of work and the number of drones required. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the drone system, the production volume, and the level of customization required. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $5,000,000.
