Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking to acquire long-range terrestrial lidar systems, associated software, maintenance, training, and licensing plans. The systems should be capable of collecting survey-grade 3D data at long range (>= 2 km) from limited and potentially remote terrestrial vantage points, while maintaining high accuracy and sufficient point density to support emergency response, damage assessment, and geodetic applications nationwide. Some key aspects of the job include: • Collecting survey-grade 3D data at long range • Maintaining high accuracy and sufficient point density • Supporting emergency response, damage assessment, and geodetic applications • Providing associated software, maintenance, training, and licensing plans

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific amount. However, considering the complexity of the project and the requirement for long-range terrestrial lidar systems, it is likely that the budget will be substantial. A possible estimate could be in the range of $500,000 to $2,000,000, depending on the scope of the project and the number of systems required. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of the lidar systems, software, maintenance, training, and licensing plans, as well as the level of expertise and resources required to complete the project.
