Inspect Sprinkler Systems & Pumps (DoR, MU)

The Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide inspections and certifications for sprinkler systems and pumps in various buildings on the ISU campus. The contractor will be responsible for performing quarterly inspections of wet and dry sprinkler systems, pumps, and standpipe systems, as well as annual inspections of backflow preventers and fire pumps. The contractor must provide a NICET II (or higher) technician to complete inspections and certifications of sprinkler systems and a State of Iowa-approved tester for certification of domestic water backflow preventors. The contractor will also be responsible for providing written estimates for small repairs and maintenance, and for completing work during normal working hours unless special arrangements are made with the ISU department. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA requirements and ISU's safety policies. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and bonding. • The contractor must provide a detailed schedule of work and a plan for completing the work. • The contractor must provide a written report of all inspections and certifications, including any defects or issues found. • The contractor must provide a warranty for all work completed, including parts and labor.
