Description

The City of Winston-Salem is inviting vendors to test their polymer products for use in the Archie Elledge Wastewater Treatment Plant. Vendors must schedule a testing date and supply a sufficient quantity of neat emulsion polymer for the performance trial. The trial will test the polymer's ability to meet the city's specifications, including hydraulic loading, cake solids, and capture rate. Only pre-approved vendors will be considered for the award of a contract. The contract will be for the annual supply of polymer, with a start date of July 1, 2026. • The testing window is from September 25 to October 31, 2025. • Vendors must make themselves familiar with the equipment and operation of the plant. • The city reserves the right to reject any request for cause or scheduling conflicts. • The city will provide results of the testing to qualified vendors for use in future polymer bids.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this contract is likely to be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million per year, based on the annual supply of polymer required by the city. The exact amount will depend on the price of the polymer and the quantity required to meet the city's specifications. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of shipping and delivery, the frequency of deliveries, and the duration of the contract.
