RFP - Backup Generator System Replacement - Gardner, KS

The City of Gardner is seeking a qualified, licensed contractor to replace its aging diesel backup generator system with a new Caterpillar C13 generator and an ASCO C300 automatic transfer switch (ATS). The scope includes removal of the existing diesel generator, installation of the new generator and ATS, all required electrical and mechanical connections, testing, commissioning, and training of City staff. The City will purchase the generator and ATS; the contractor provides all labor, materials, permits, and coordination. • Remove existing diesel generator and associated equipment. • Install new Caterpillar C13 generator and ASCO C300 ATS, including all wiring, piping, and fuel connections. • Perform full system testing, functional verification, and provide on‑site training for City personnel. • Deliver a turnkey solution with all permits, inspections, and documentation completed.
