Description
The Department of War is seeking information on commercially available or near-production-ready Polyalphaolefin (PAO) Liquid Coolant Carts to support ground maintenance operations for the F-22 aircraft. The proposed solution must meet various requirements, including functional, operational, and system requirements. The cart must be able to cool, clean, and recirculate PAO liquid coolant, and must be compatible with polyalphaolefin (PAO) coolant. The cart must also have a 80-gallon reservoir, a 5-micron filtration system, and a de-aeration system.
Some key features of the proposed solution include:
• Cooling capacity: 0-50 kW (0-171 kBTU/HR) at rated flow and delivery temperature
• Cooling liquid flow and pressure: Variable up to a rated flow of 28 GPM @ 150 PSI
• Cooling liquid delivery temperature: Rated at 55 °F (13 °C) ± 5 °F (3°C); Variable between 40 °F and 70 °F (4.4 °C and 21.1 °C)
• Ambient operating temperature: 0 °F to 125 °F (-18 °C to 52 °C)
• Operating environments: Certified per MIL-STD-810G
• Runtime: Minimum 8-hour runtime at full load
• Power source: Dual-powered system, capable of being powered by both an electric source and a diesel engine
