SP8000-Tire Cord Steel RFI

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Materials Directorate is seeking information for the potential acquisition of Tire Cord Steel for addition into the National Defense Stockpile. The agency is looking for vendors with experience and capabilities in providing tire cord steel, and is requesting information on the company's capabilities, supply chain, production, and delivery processes. The RFI includes a questionnaire that must be submitted with the response, and all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. • The RFI is for planning purposes only and is not a request for quote (RFQ), invitation for bid (IFB), or an obligation on the part of the government to acquire any supplies or services. • The government will determine if/how to proceed based on the results of this notice. • Companies that respond to this notice should not expect to receive feedback regarding submissions. • The government will not pay any costs incurred in response to this notice. • All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the expense of the responding party.
