The Fermi Forward Discovery Group (FFDG) is seeking a subcontractor to provide a firm fixed price for the SNSPD Detector System Upgrade. The upgrade includes high detection efficiency nanowire detectors with specific specifications, controllable solenoid vacuum valve, vacuum pump, and relays and control electronics for full automation of cryostat cooldown procedure. The subcontractor must provide all the line items within the existing Quantum Opus One Cryostat enclosure of size 3U (rack size).
* The detectors must have high detection efficiency nanowire detectors with >85% PDE at 1550 nm, ≤ 25 ps FWHM timing jitter, ≤ 60 ns recovery to 50% efficiency, no latching, and dark counts ≤100 counts per second.
* The detectors must have photon number resolving capability for N=2 and N=3 photons.
* Cryogenic amplifiers and readout electronics must be included to achieve the above specifications.
* The controllable solenoid vacuum valve, vacuum pump, and relays and control electronics must be provided for full automation of cryostat cooldown procedure.
