Description

The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking a qualified professional engineering team to conduct a traffic calming study for the intersection of Southfield Road and Beverly Road. The study should include analyzing the feasibility of various traffic calming strategies, identifying multiple options for the reconfiguration of the intersection, and developing conceptual design work and estimated costs for implementation. The scope of work includes project management, data collection and analysis, conceptual design and alternatives analysis, public engagement, and preferred concept development. The selected consultant will be required to provide community engagement, data collection, conceptual design, and preliminary engineering services. Key considerations include ensuring safe pedestrian and non-motorized crossings, lighting improvements, enhanced transit access, and overall safety improvements for all users at the intersection. • The consultant should have experience in comparable projects and specialized experience in traffic calming studies. • The consultant should have a general approach to the project, including a timeline of major milestones and deliverables. • The consultant should have a past record of performance on contracts with other governmental agencies, including factors such as quality of work, cost control, and ability to meet scheduled deadlines. • The consultant should have the capacity to perform the work in a timely manner and respond to the inquiries and schedule of the Village. • The consultant should have qualified personnel who will have direct involvement in tasks on this project.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project is not explicitly stated, but based on the scope of work, which includes project management, data collection and analysis, conceptual design and alternatives analysis, public engagement, and preferred concept development, the estimated cost could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require a team of engineers, planners, and consultants to work on the traffic calming study, and the costs will include personnel, equipment, and materials. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the project, the number of stakeholders involved, and the level of community engagement required.
