26-0224-04 Clarifier Cleaning and Coating

The City of Middletown is seeking a contractor to perform the annual cleaning of one solids contact upflow clarifier and to media blast all steel structures to remove existing coating to create a clean surface for new coatings. The contractor will be required to remove debris not appropriate to pump to the lime lagoon from the clarifier and dispose of it off-site. The contract includes provisions for prevailing wage rates, bid bonds, and performance bonds. • The contractor must comply with the State Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Middletown, Ohio. • The contractor must provide a 100% performance bond within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. • The contractor must complete all work by July 1, 2026. • The contractor must pay all lawful claims of sub-contractors, materialmen, and laborers for labor performed and materials furnished in the carrying forward, performing, and completing of the contract.
