Description
The Navajo Division of Transportation seeks a qualified contractor to install a Federal Aviation Administration‑approved Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS III PT) at Tuba City Airport, Arizona. The scope includes procurement of the full AWOS system, civil construction of tower and foundations, electrical and communications infrastructure, installation, integration, functional testing, and FAA‑required commissioning support, with all work funded by Navajo Sihasin construction funds and subject to a mandatory 6 % Navajo Nation sales tax.
• Procure and furnish FAA‑approved AWOS III PT hardware (sensors, processor, tower, cabinets, remote‑monitoring equipment, software, manuals, warranties).
• Perform civil works (tower/foundation, access roads, fencing, site restoration) and electrical/communications installation (trenching, conduit, power, grounding, surge protection, VHF/telephone/data interfaces).
• Provide manufacturer start‑up, qualified commissioning technician, FAA inspection coordination, testing, training, warranty transfer, as‑built drawings, and close‑out documentation.
• Must submit a sealed electronic bid by 1 Sept 2026 12:00 PM MST, include a bid bond (electronic or hard‑copy), acknowledge Addendum 1, and list the 6 % Navajo Nation sales tax as a separate line item.
