Medical Director and Physician Services at State Veterans Nursing Home

The Mississippi Veterans Affairs is seeking a Medical Director and Physician to provide medical services at the State Veterans Nursing Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing primary physician services, medical assessments, and care plans for residents. The contract will be for a period of two years, with the option for a one-year renewal. The vendor must have a valid medical license and provide evidence of licensure with their proposal. The evaluation criteria will include cost, management plan, delivery of care and services, key personnel, and past corporate experience. • The Medical Director will be responsible for examining applicants for admission, providing medical assessments and care plans, and performing medical reviews of residents. • The Physician will be responsible for providing primary physician services, medical evaluations, and prescribing medications as needed. • The vendor must provide a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant to work in the home Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day. • The vendor must maintain complete and accurate records of all residents examined and treated. • The vendor must comply with all applicable state and federal statutes, rules, and regulations.
