Description
The City of Shasta Lake is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate two Microfloc Trident TR-840A tri-media gravity filter units at the Water Treatment Plant. The project includes exterior and interior work on the filter units, including full containment, protection of exterior parts and surroundings, repair of surface defects, and coating system application. The estimated cost for this work is $500,000. The contractor shall possess a Class A (General Engineering) contractor’s license and have specific experience rehabilitating Microfloc Trident TR-840A tri-media gravity filter units.
• The project requires the contractor to take out of service one filter unit at a time to complete the rehabilitation work.
• The contractor shall ensure that two filter units remain online at all times to provide adequate treatment capacity for the City's water system.
• The project includes a prebid conference and site visit, which are not mandatory but encouraged for interested bidders.
