The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) is seeking a high purity gas dilution system for the Chemical Sciences Division. The system will be used to prepare SI-traceable gas standards with low impurities to support standard reference materials (SRMs) for the semiconductor industry. The system must meet specific critical parameters, including traceability and precision, ultra-high purity configuration, connection standards, and commercial status. The Environics Series 4040 Computerized Gas Dilution System is the only standard commercial product line that meets the Government's requirements.
• The system must have a mass flow controller calibration that is NIST-traceable, with a dilution range from 1-to-1 ratio up to 1-to-1000 dilution ratio or better.
• The system must have internal components exposed to gases that utilize electropolished stainless steel 316L treated internally with proprietary SilcoNert coating.
• The system must have standard 1/4-inch metal gasket face seal fittings (VCR fittings) for gas inlet and outlet connectors.
• The system must be a standard, new commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) unit.
