Acquisition of REVOLVE R4 Upright & Inverted Capability fluorescence microscope

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking to acquire a REVOLVE R4 Upright & Inverted Capability fluorescence microscope. The microscope will be used for various experiments, including assessing cell viability, expression of exogenously expressed genes, infection efficiency, localization of and interactions between cellular and viral proteins. The equipment must have specific specifications, including a 5 MP CMOS Monochrome Camera, 12 MP Color Camera, 12.9" Liquid Retina Touch Display, Olympus 1.25x-100x Plan Achromat and Plan Apochromat, Intelligent Nosepiece, and Intuitive Touch Interface. • The microscope will be used for research purposes, including detecting and capturing fluorescent signals from cells. • The equipment must be compatible with existing systems and have specific specifications. • The contract is for a sole source acquisition, and the proposed contractor is Essen Instruments d/b/a Essen Bioscience (Sartorius). • The total estimated cost is $45,943.
