Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking installation services for Steris steam sterilizers at the VA Northern California Health Care System. The requirement includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, documentation, and training necessary to install Government-furnished Steris sterilizers. The contractor will need to coordinate with facility engineering and Sterile Processing Service (SPS) to ensure installation is compatible with existing infrastructure and meets applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety code requirements. The contractor will also need to provide user orientation/training for designated VA staff on basic operation of the installed sterilizers.
• Installation and set-in-place of Steris steam sterilizers and any associated components.
• Coordination with facility engineering and Sterile Processing Service (SPS) to ensure installation is compatible with existing infrastructure and meets applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety code requirements.
• Provision of user orientation/training for designated VA staff on basic operation of the installed sterilizers, consistent with Steris instructions for use and facility protocols.
