Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility BNR Basins MCC Replacement

The City of Raleigh is soliciting sealed bids for the demolition and in‑kind replacement of motor control centers (MCC) and programmable logic controller (PLC) cabinets at the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility’s Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) basins, along with construction of a new prefabricated metal enclosure, extension of the existing concrete foundation, and replacement of power wiring and corroded conduit throughout basins 1‑6. The work includes complete electrical demolition, installation of new MCC/PLC equipment, enclosure fabrication, HVAC, lighting, and associated civil modifications. Bids must be submitted by October 21, 2026, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. • Demolition and in‑kind replacement of MCC‑P4B, MCC‑P5B, MCC‑P6B. • Demolition and replacement of PLC‑81, PLC‑82, PLC‑83 cabinets. • Supply and install a new prefabricated metal enclosure with roof, doors, lighting, and HVAC. • Extend existing concrete foundation to accommodate the new enclosure footprint. • Remove and replace all power wiring within existing conduit for each MCC to motors/devices on BNR Aeration Basins 1‑6. • Remove and replace sections of corroded electrical conduit throughout the same basins.
