Description
The Library of Congress is seeking information from potential contractors to support the ongoing production and modernization of its web-based subscription service, Classification Web Plus. The service provides online access to the Library of Congress Classification schedules and the Library of Congress Subject Heading. The contractor will be responsible for hosting, operating, and maintaining the existing Class Web system, as well as enhancing it to leverage evolving search, web technologies, and hosting solutions. The scope of work includes Class Web operation and maintenance support, classification web hosting, and project management requirements.
• Class Web operation and maintenance support: The contractor shall operate the existing Class Web production system and provide routine maintenance activities.
• Classification web hosting: The contractor shall provide cloud hosting for Classification Web.
• Project management requirements: The contractor shall implement LC computer security procedures and standards, provide a transition plan, and respond to customer support questions.
