Civil Engineering Design and Construction Administration Services for Timberlin Golf Course Bridges

The Town of Berlin is seeking a qualified firm to provide civil engineering design and construction administration services for the replacement of six bridges at the Timberlin Golf Course. The selected firm will be responsible for providing industry-standard or higher quality services while maintaining a focus on providing cost-effective services to the Town. The scope of services includes data collection and preliminary engineering, final design and permitting, bidding, construction administration, inspection, and deliverables. The Town anticipates entering into a contract with the selected consultant commencing in the summer of 2026, with the option to cancel the contract at any time. Some key points to consider: • The six bridges proposed for replacement were installed in the 1980s and consist of wooden decks supported by concrete blocks with crushed stone and riprap for scour and erosion protection. • The existing timber bridges will be replaced with reinforced concrete bridge systems designed to support golf carts and maintenance vehicles. • The selected firm shall work with and cooperate with the Finance Department in rendering services pursuant to this RFP. • The Town reserves the right to amend or terminate this RFP if it determines it is in the Town's best interest.
