Description
This addendum updates the bidding package for the construction of a new scale house and associated entrance improvements at the City of Salina Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. The contractor will be responsible for complete site work, utility installation, demolition of existing structures, construction of a new concrete‑paved building, installation of new truck scales, electrical service, a diesel generator, fencing, gates, and related traffic‑control features. The scope includes design‑build elements such as providing a licensed Kansas engineer for scale foundation design, and coordination of owner‑supplied water and fill material.
• Demolition of the existing scale house, removal of old scales, and back‑filling.
• Installation of new utilities (water, sanitary sewer, electrical conduit) and a 40‑kW diesel generator.
• Construction of a new concrete‑paved scale house building with LVT flooring, metal catwalks, and FEMA‑rated doors.
• Site grading, drainage (HDPE pipe, RCP culverts), new asphalt and concrete pavement, fencing, remote‑operated slide gate, and traffic‑control lighting.
• All work must adhere to specified construction hours, 24‑hour delivery notice, and a 10 % retainage on progress payments.
