Curtis Ave. Recycled Water Line Repair - Exploratory Work

The City of Milpitas is seeking bids for exploratory work to determine the extent of the leak from the recycled water main at the terminus of Curtis Avenue. The work includes site preparation, excavation, preservation of existing utilities, shoring, cutting of recycled water line, installation of isolation valve, backfilling, pavement restoration, and miscellaneous work. The project requires a licensed contractor with a Class A or Class C-34 License from the Contractor's State License Board. The bid must be valid for a minimum of 90 days after the bid opening date. • The project is located in the utility easement adjacent to the UPRR and BART railroad tracks behind Flex, Inc. at 777 Gibraltar Dr. • A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on February 26, 2026, and March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. • The bid submission deadline is March 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. • The City reserves the right to reject bid submittals from applicants who do not attend the pre-bid conference. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the awarded contract.
