Chilled Water Infrastructure Expansion North Chiller Plant

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking bids for the Chilled Water Infrastructure Expansion North Chiller Plant project. The project involves the installation of new cooling towers and related equipment in an existing concrete basin. The contractor will be responsible for arranging and coordinating delivery of owner-prepurchased equipment, installing the equipment, and completing the installation process. The contractor must also provide materials and connections for owner-furnished equipment and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the drawings and scope of work. • The project includes the installation of three new cooling towers, each with a capacity of 6000 GPM. • The contractor must provide a variable frequency drive (VFD) for each cooling tower fan motor. • The contractor must also provide pumps, valves, and other equipment as specified in the bid documents. • The project requires the contractor to perform mechanical demolition and new work, including the installation of new piping, electrical, and controls systems. • The contractor must ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the University's general terms and conditions and all applicable laws and regulations.
