Description
The County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are seeking a Certified Public Accounting Firm to perform an audit of the financial statements of Queen Anne's County for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, 2027, and 2028. The audit will include a financial audit, compliance audit, and preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). The selected firm will be required to have experience auditing governmental units and preparing single audit reports. The contract will be for a period of three years, with two additional option years.
• The firm must be licensed to practice public accounting in the State of Maryland.
• The firm must have experience auditing automated data processing financial management systems.
• The firm must demonstrate the ability to provide ongoing consultation throughout the year.
• The firm must have recent experience auditing Maryland counties or similar-sized local governments.
