Description
The Virgin Islands Port Authority is seeking bids from qualified and licensed general contractors to provide concrete paving improvements at the Gordon A Finch Molasses Dock Marine Facility on St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. The selected contractor will be required to provide temporary controls for air and water pollution, soil erosion, and siltation as required for the work area. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled, and prospective bidders should meet at the Gordon A Finch Molasses Pier. The bid includes several items such as mobilization, environmental controls, paving preparation, installation of concrete pavement, legal disposal, and contingency.
• The bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount.
• The performance bond shall cover 100% of the total contract price.
• The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment required to perform the services.
• The contractor shall comply with all airport security requirements concerning access to restricted areas of the buildings or airfield.
• The contractor shall conform to all applicable aviation security procedures regarding the issue, wearing, replacement, and return of personal identification badges.
