Description

Suny Stony Brook is seeking a vendor to supply, deliver, install, test, and commission three fully‑off‑grid, solar‑powered micro‑mobility charging stations. Each station must include a solar photovoltaic canopy, battery energy storage, dedicated charging outlets for e‑bikes and e‑scooters, secure storage compartments, monitoring capability, lighting, and all associated labor, materials, warranties, and services to deliver a complete, operational system on owner‑provided concrete pads across multiple campus locations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, qualified bidder and requires compliance with New York prevailing‑wage rules, OSHA 10‑hour certification, and quarterly reporting after award. • Supply and install three turnkey solar‑powered charging stations (solar canopy, battery, chargers, secure lockers). • Provide full commissioning, testing, and documentation to certify operational performance by Dec 1 2026. • Meet NY State requirements: prevailing‑wage rates, OSHA certification, tax‑exempt pricing, and quarterly spend reporting.

Budget estimate

$400,000 – $800,000

Because the solicitation does not disclose a budget, a reasonable estimate can be derived from typical costs for solar‑powered charging stations (including PV canopy, battery storage, chargers, secure lockers, civil work, and labor). Assuming $150k‑$250k per station for a full turnkey solution, three stations would range roughly $450,000‑$750,000. Adjustments for travel, project management, and NY prevailing‑wage compliance could push the upper bound higher, so a conservative estimate is $400,000‑$800,000.
