The Los Pinos DxP IRSC project aims to address concerns about forest health and fuel loading, and to improve road condition and decrease erosion associated with road infrastructure. The project involves thinning and group selection cuts and timber removal in mixed conifer stands, reconditioning aggregate and native roadways, and performing associated maintenance and upgrades to drainage structures and closure gates. The project also includes rerouting a small segment of system road and regrading and surfacing the Coal Creek trail parking area.
