VITROS 5600 chemistry analyzers with its associated reagents, supplies, and associated support

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is seeking a contractor to provide two Ortho Clinical Diagnostics VITROS 5600 chemistry analyzers with associated reagents, supplies, and support. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the lease of the analyzers, providing full-risk maintenance contracts, application support services, and on-site training. The contractor will also be required to provide a comprehensive validation study of green top tubes to verify their clinical suitability for laboratory assays. The period of performance is one basic year plus four option years, with a total duration of 60 months. The work will be performed at the US Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy. Some key features of the VITROS 5600 chemistry analyzer include: • Operate without a water source • Store >20,000 samples with ability to archive and retrieve results through CD-ROM • Store >120 on-board reagent positions • Possess 10 user-defined chemistry channels • Use single-use tips for specimen and reagent metering • Operate without the need of plumbing or drains • Interface bi-directionally with the laboratory information system (LIS) The contractor will be required to provide a capabilities document outlining their ability to meet the requirements specified in the performance work statement.
