Optum Labs

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source contract to Optum Labs Topaz, Inc. for the provision of access to the OptumLabs Data Warehouse (OLDW) Research Sandbox. The contractor will provide two researchers from CDC with access to the Research Sandbox, which contains de-identified, longitudinal health information on enrollees and patients. The scope of work includes setting up the Research Sandbox, providing software and maintenance services, and granting CDC a right to publish summary results. • The Research Sandbox will contain commercial claims data, including Medicare Advantage and EMR data. • The contractor will provide usernames and passwords for three approved users to access the Research Sandbox. • The contractor will grant CDC a right to publish summary results subject to OptumLabs review procedure. • The contractor will allow revisions required by journal editors as long as the data source is attributed to "OptumLabs".
