Body Removal Services

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office is seeking a vendor to provide body removal and storage services on a 24-hour, 365-day basis. The vendor must be capable of performing between 700 and 1,000 removals annually and provide secure, climate-controlled storage for deceased individuals. The contract will cover a potential five-year period, with an initial two-year base period and three one-year option periods. The evaluation criteria include experience and performance, professional standards, availability, cost, and approach. • The vendor shall maintain reliable mobile communication between its dispatch center, field vehicles, and MCCO representatives. • The vendor shall provide removal and transportation services from any location within Montgomery County. • The vendor shall allow for up to one hour of on-scene time per removal. • The vendor shall provide and maintain a sufficient inventory of body bags, including oversized and infant sizes. • The vendor shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information obtained during the course of service.
