Description
The City of Bakersfield is seeking proposals from qualified firms or Contractor teams to provide professional services for a feasibility analysis of an incubator for target industries and conceptual site plans of a Bakersfield Technology Park. The project aims to catalyze innovation, attract investment in target industries, and support the region’s role as a hub for advanced technologies, clean energy, and entrepreneurial growth. The selected contractor will be required to perform tasks such as project initiation, community engagement and ecosystem analysis, tech park development plan and feasibility analysis, implementation strategy, and final plan and presentations.
• The project will involve analyzing industry opportunities and partners to support the growth of a technology park
• Strategies for accessing new markets and attracting investment into the region for target industries
• Capital strategies for park development and phasing for implementation
• Initial strategy for developing an incubator tech hub/other designation to build out an ecosystem for these sectors
• Sequencing is critical, in addition to real estate market review and needs assessment/opportunity for the facilities development
