Notice of Intent to Award to a Single Source

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to award a sole‑source contract to Colorado State University (CSU) for the care, maintenance, and breeding of a captive colony of Jamaican fruit bats (Artibeus jamaicensis) that support high‑containment infectious‑disease research. CSU will house the colony, provide daily husbandry, veterinary oversight, annual health assessments, and prepare animals for up to three shipments per year to the Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) in Montana.
