Description
The Department of Defense is seeking quotations for pharmaceutical agents to be included in the Uniform Formulary (UF). The UF is a list of pharmaceutical agents that are available to beneficiaries of the Military Health System. The Department of Defense is required by law to establish an effective, efficient, integrated pharmacy benefits program for the Military Health System. The program includes the purchase of pharmaceutical agents, and the Department of Defense is seeking quotations from manufacturers to provide these agents at the best possible price. The quotations will be evaluated based on the relative clinical effectiveness and relative cost effectiveness of the pharmaceutical agents. The Department of Defense will consider the price quotes and refund quotes submitted by manufacturers in determining the cost of the pharmaceutical agents to the Government. The agreement will be effective upon signature of the Contracting Officer, and prices will be loaded into the electronic pricing database by the Defense Logistics Agency. The agreement will continue until the drug class is reevaluated and any resulting changes are implemented, or until it is otherwise terminated.
