Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is seeking a 5G Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication system to support the Machine Situational Awareness project. The system will be used to enable direct communication between machines for the purpose of sharing perception data and improving hazard detection and safety in mining environments. The requirement includes the procurement of four On-Board Units capable of V2X communication, associated software development kit and interface documentation, and required accessories for configuration and operation. The system must support research level configuration and integration with existing laboratory systems.
• The system must support 5G NR sidelink communication using the PC5 interface
• The system must have mode 2 autonomous resource allocation capability
• The system must comply with 3GPP Release 16 or later
• The system must be able to operate without reliance on cellular infrastructure
• The system must be able to transmit perception data between systems
• The system must have an API or SDK for research integration and testing
• The system must be compatible with existing sensors and processing systems
