Description
The City of New York’s Department of Design and Construction is seeking a qualified firm to provide comprehensive special inspection services for the Harlem Courthouse Exterior Rehabilitation project (CO306EXT2). The work includes verification of structural steel welding and bolting, masonry restoration, roofing membrane installation, concrete work, fire‑resistant material application, and related specialty inspections to ensure compliance with approved construction documents and NYC building codes. The contractor must submit daily inspection reports, maintain rigorous documentation, and coordinate closely with the project’s Resident Engineer and the Department’s oversight personnel.
• Perform all required Chapter 17 special inspections (structural steel, concrete, masonry, fire‑resistive materials, etc.) and issue final inspection reports.
• Conduct progress inspections for energy‑code compliance and provide ADA‑related inspection reports as needed.
• Supply laboratory testing (concrete cylinders, soil, material labs) on a unit‑price basis, delivering preliminary results within 1 business day and final reports within one week of testing.
• Maintain strict record‑keeping (six‑year retention) and submit required reports via the City’s electronic portals, adhering to the tight schedule (questions due June 22, bid due June 24, 2026).
