Description

The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) seeks proposals for consulting services to conduct I-490 Center City Interchange Operations Mobility Study. The purpose of this project is to reimagine the transportation network serving the Center City and South Wedge Neighborhoods, focusing on the I-490 mainline, ramp system, and the City of Rochester road network to the east of the Frederick Douglass Susan B. Anthony Bridge, by exploring options to reduce the transportation footprint and enhance transportation connections between adjacent neighborhoods. Interested firms must request a copy of the Request for Proposals (RFP) package from GTC by contacting June McIlquham, Senior Transportation Planner, at (585) 252-1268 or by email at [email protected]. The RFP Package will be made available on Monday, April 27, 2026. The RFP Package will be available as a hard copy (to be mailed) or in PDF (to be e-mailed); please specify which version your firm would like to receive when you contact GTC. Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work and the contract term. Since the project involves consulting services for an operations mobility study, the budget is likely to be in the range of a few hundred thousand dollars to a few million dollars. Assuming an average hourly rate for consultants and a project duration of 18 months, a rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $2,000,000. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget may vary depending on the specific requirements of the project and the qualifications of the consulting firm.
