NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: bioMerieux - Preventative Maintenance

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a sole source contract to bioMerieux, Inc. for annual preventive maintenance, verification, and calibration of thirteen Media Preparation Units and nine TEMPO Automated Systems at three FSIS Field Laboratories. The contract will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option years. All services must be performed in accordance with ISO 17025 standards and by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians using only OEM parts. • The contract requires maintenance of proprietary equipment, including TEMPO systems and media units. • The services must be performed at three FSIS Field Laboratories: Eastern Laboratory, Midwestern Laboratory, and Western Laboratory. • The contractor must provide OEM-certified technicians and parts. • The contract has a 12-month base period and four 12-month option years.
